Armand Vienneau – Drums and Vocals: As a teenager, Armand Vienneau discovered a fiery passion for drumming, beginning with a drum and bugle corps. Les Ambassadeurs Gatineau-Buckingham, won the Canadian championship in the 70s. Armand went on to win the Quebec Championship, twice, in the individual category. During the following years, he became the drummer for a number of local bands and perfected his chops by playing any style he could: rock, jazz, fusion, country, blues, Cajun and zydeco. After that, he chose to play with songwriters, accompanying them in a number of summer festivals throughout Quebec and Ontario . He still retains his love for rudimental drumming with the Ottawa/Gatineau Heritage Hands Drum Club (www.heritagehandsottawa.ca). While with this club he had the opportunity to participate in many drum clinics featuring great drummers such as Thomas Lang, Billy Cobham, Jojo Mayer and Kenny Aronoff. In 2006, Armand was recognized as a ” Master Drummer ” by the International Association of Traditional Drummers for his contribution to the promotion and preservation of the twenty-six basic rudiments used by the majority of drummers in North America and Europe. Armand became teacher at the Sonart music school .Armand currently lives near Edelweiss..
